Alphabetica Archæologica is a work of literary fiction that reconceptualises the letters of the alphabet as a dysfunctional family.

The typeface draws on the the fictitious personalities of each letter of the alphabet, conceived by the writer. Found video is then channeled through the letter forms to express some of these personalities.

Sources included the opening of Carl Sagan's film “Contact (1997), Oswald the Rabbit (1927), Hans Jenny's “Cymatics" (1967), Len Lye's “Free Radicals" (1958), Barpapapa (1970) as well as clips sourced from Nasa, among many others.
