INSTALLATION.

 
 
 

Nike had developed it’s first hijab (the traditional headscarf worn by Muslim woman) in order to empower woman athletes in the Middle East.

This was to be launched at the Saudi Design week at the Zaha Hadid KAPSARC Building.

The greatest challenge we faced was that representation of a woman’s body was culturally insensitive in Saudi culture. Our solution was to abstract the body of figure skater Zahra Lari, to a series of spinning luminescent hoops.
